Loft beds
Who are Nizio loft beds for?
Nizio loft beds are designed for children from the age of 6, teenagers and adults looking for a smart way to make the most of a small space. They work perfectly in children’s rooms, teen bedrooms, studio flats and small master bedrooms. With a load capacity of 200 kg, sizes up to 120×200 cm and a 10-year warranty, this is a long-term investment – not just a bed a child will outgrow.
Why should I buy a loft bed from Nizio?
Nizio is a Polish brand with over 60 years of experience in solid wood furniture, trusted by thousands of customers across Europe. Every bed is made exclusively from solid pine, oak or a combination of the two – no MDF or chipboard. Each bed comes with a 10-year warranty and a 100-day return policy. Delivery on pallets covers all of Europe, with a production lead time of 2–3 weeks.
Does Nizio deliver loft beds abroad?
Yes. Nizio delivers loft beds throughout Europe. All shipments are sent on pallets to ensure maximum protection during transit. Delivery takes 2–5 working days from dispatch, depending on the destination country. Available delivery options for your country are shown in the cart at checkout.
What mattress sizes fit the loft bed?
Nizio loft beds are available for mattresses 80, 90, 100 and 120 cm wide, and 180, 190 or 200 cm long. The right size depends on the available space in the room and personal preferences – every combination provides full sleeping comfort. The mattress is not included in the price and must be ordered separately.
What is the difference between models N01, N02, N03, N04, N05 and N06?
The models differ in ladder placement and side panel pattern. N01 and N02 have the ladder on the short side – N01 vertical, N02 angled. N03 and N04 have the ladder on the long side and differ only in their side panel pattern – as do N05 and N06. All models are available in the same colours, sizes and with or without a desk. The choice depends mainly on room layout and personal aesthetic preferences.
What does the 142 cm clearance mean and what is the custom height option?
The clearance is the free height beneath the sleeping area. The standard version offers 142 cm – enough for a desk, a chest of drawers or a play zone. The custom option lets you order a clearance of 143 to 170 cm for around PLN 500 extra, giving you more freedom when choosing furniture for the space below.
Can the loft bed be customised to individual needs?
Yes. Nizio offers the option to modify the bed dimensions and to finish it in any colour from the NCS or RAL palette. This allows you to match the furniture to a specific interior – both in terms of size and a colour not available in the standard range. Details about custom orders can be found on the website or obtained by contacting Nizio directly.
Can I order the loft bed with a built-in desk?
Yes. Every model is available without a desk or with a built-in desk beneath the sleeping area. The desk version creates a complete study or work station in a single piece of furniture – ideal for small rooms where every square metre counts. The desk is made from the same wood as the rest of the bed, so the whole piece looks cohesive.
What colours and finishes are available for the loft bed?
The collection offers eight finishes: white, ash grey, white-oak (pine lacquered white with natural oak elements), black-oak (pine lacquered black with natural oak elements), clear pine, natural pine, natural oak and bleached oak. Lacquered versions (white, ash grey) are the most affordable; oak versions are the most expensive. Custom orders can be finished in any NCS or RAL colour. The wide palette suits modern, Scandinavian and classic interiors alike.
From what age can a child sleep in a loft bed?
Nizio loft beds are suitable for children from the age of 6. A solid safety rail, rounded edges with no exposed screws and the option to wall-mount the bed all ensure safety during sleep and play. A maximum load of 200 kg and solid wood construction mean the bed lasts for many years – from childhood through to adulthood.
What wood are Nizio loft beds made from?
The beds are made exclusively from solid pine, solid oak or a combination of the two – no MDF or chipboard. Solid wood is more durable, more resistant to mechanical damage and far better suited to years of use than wood-based materials. Every piece is made to order in the Nizio workshop in Poland, which has over 60 years of experience.
Are the paints and lacquers used to finish the bed safe for children?
Yes. We use certified, eco-friendly paints that comply with EN 71-3, one of the most rigorous safety standards in the furniture industry. They are safe for children and allergy sufferers, completely odour-free once dry and emit no harmful volatile substances.
Which safety standards does the loft bed meet?
Nizio loft beds comply with two European safety standards: EN 747 (bunk beds and high beds – safety, strength and durability requirements) and EN 1725 (domestic furniture – beds and mattress bases). All edges are rounded, there are no exposed screws or bolts, and a solid safety rail prevents falls during sleep. The maximum load capacity is 200 kg.
What is the modular construction and why does it matter?
The bed is designed for maximum strength and longevity. The side panels arrive fully pre-assembled at the factory – no assembly required by the customer. The slatted base consists of three segments, which directly contributes to the strength and durability of the entire structure. This means the bed retains full stability even after repeated assembly and disassembly.
Is the loft bed difficult to assemble?
Assembly is intuitive and requires no prior experience or specialist tools. The side panels arrive pre-assembled – the hardest part is already done. The remaining components connect thanks to branded fittings, precisely crafted parts and the included instructions. The structure remains stable even after repeated assembly and disassembly.
On which side can the ladder be mounted?
The ladder can be mounted on either the left or the right side of the bed. This lets you position the furniture to suit the room layout and the placement of other items without losing a single centimetre of space. The decision on which side to mount the ladder can be made during assembly – it does not need to be specified when ordering.
Can the bed be fixed to the wall?
Yes. A wall-mounting kit is included with the bed. This is especially recommended in children’s rooms – it increases stability and safety during active play or climbing on the ladder. Wall-mounting is straightforward and does not require any modifications to the bed structure.
How long does it take to receive a Nizio loft bed?
Production lead time is 2–3 weeks from the date of order – every bed is made to order in our Polish workshop. Shipping takes an additional 2–5 working days depending on the destination country. All beds are shipped on pallets throughout Europe, ensuring maximum protection during transit and eliminating the risk of damage.
Does Nizio offer assembly of the loft bed?
Nizio does not offer an assembly service. The bed has been designed so that assembly is straightforward even for someone with no experience – the side panels arrive pre-assembled, and the remaining components connect thanks to branded fittings, precisely crafted parts and the included instructions. Most customers assemble the bed themselves without any difficulty.
Can the loft bed be returned?
Yes. Nizio offers a 100-day return policy, no questions asked – one of the longest in the furniture industry. This gives you time to order the bed, assemble it and calmly assess whether it meets your expectations before making a final decision. This is especially valuable when buying an expensive piece of furniture online.
How much does a loft bed cost and what affects the price?
Nizio loft bed prices start from PLN 3,999. The final price depends on the model (N01–N06), mattress size, finish and clearance option. Lacquered versions (white, ash grey) are the most affordable; oak versions are the most expensive (natural oak from PLN 5,499, bleached oak from PLN 5,799). The custom clearance option (143–170 cm) adds around PLN 500. Prices do not include a mattress.
How much more does a loft bed with a desk cost compared to one without?
The surcharge for a built-in desk ranges from around PLN 950 for lacquered finishes (white, ash grey) to around PLN 1,450–1,550 for oak finishes (natural oak, bleached oak). The desk is made from the same wood as the rest of the structure – creating a unified piece of furniture that eliminates the need for a separate desktop in the room.
